The vast influx of residents' complains have raised the concerns of the Foreign Minister George Yeo, the MP for the Bedok Reservoir-Punggol ward of Aljunied GRC and his representatives from Aljunied Town Council, the PUB and National Environment Agency (NEA). Rentokil Singapore was one of the honored team to treat the infested premise along the walls of the housing estates on 19 January with Synthetic Pyrethroid. This treatment utilizes fast-acting neurotoxin that acts specifically on nerve cells of the insects. It is degradable on soil and plants and may remain effective for weeks when applied indoor.
